Parents Q&A – ABA – How to correctly apply Token Economy (1)

Parent’s Concern:
Hi, I tried to use the Token Economy to train my son on writing numbers (he hates writing numbers), but he was not following at all. He didn’t understand my instruction. When I told him to sit down, he was ok with that, but he didn’t understand that he needed to complete writing a number to get a sticker and could only get the phone when he gets all 3 stickers. Not even finishing 1 number he already threw tantrum, screaming and crying for the phone. How do I make him understand?
Autism Partnership suggestion:
Below Toby suggested how to pick the suitable Token Economy and to correctly apply it.
